SEBRING, Fla. (March 24, 2003) - Hidden Eyes Guard Service, located in Sebring, Fla., has developed a new security tool implementing the latest in video conferencing hardware, Internet data transfer and database management to better control access to gated communities of any size. This new security access system has received a patent from the U.S. Patent office.

Already being used by a number of Southwest Florida gated communities, Hidden Eyes can be used effectively anywhere in the United States. The system replaces a security guard with a kiosk that transmits video and sound via a secure Internet connection to one central monitoring station. Trained professionals at the station then perform the task of verifying an individual's request for access to the area. In addition to providing or denying access, Hidden Eyes stores appropriate information, such as images of a face and license tag, and other details in a database. This information can be retrieved and instantly forwarded to authorities in the event of a security breech.

Existing access methods, security guards or telephone entry, can be inefficient and in some cases ineffective. Guard costs continue to rise, turnover is high and record keeping is often inaccurate. In addition, many guards are poorly trained. Telephone entry systems feature very limited capabilities. There is no record of the guest's name, vehicle, or who authorized entry. As a result, the community will save $8,000 the first year, and almost $30,000 per year each year after.
